2025 Novice Competition and Afterglow
Hosted by London’s Men of Accord, Strathroy’s A Cappella Connection chorus, their VLQ called Thrown Together and their quartet called Senior Moment all placed first in their categories. Senior Moment (Rae Driessens (Tenor), Paul Stuckless (Lead), Doug Morley (Bass) and John Gough (Baritone)) won first place in both the regular novice and senior’s novice quartet categories. Strathroy took home with them, the London Connection trophy for best chorus, the Bruce Crypton trophy for best VLQ and the Western Division Novice Quartet trophy for best quartet. The Pitch Diggers (London’s Simon Van Ooteghem (Tenor), Paul Stuckless (Lead), London’s Dwight Baer (Bass) and John Gough(Baritone)), sang two songs as the mike testers, but did not compete.
