May 6: For the second time, the Chapters twenty second annual show was a matinee only event. “A Cappella Straight Up” was presented at the East Christian Reformed Church, Strathroy and approximately 450 people attended. The fabulous “Yonge Guns” quartet headlined the show that also featured the “Double Forte” and “For-tified Four” quartets as well as the “Shades Of Harmony” and the “Vocal Federation” choruses that sang three songs together. The ever-popular Gord Vair was emcee and performer. Following the show, over 100 people stayed on at the Church to enjoy a full course pork dinner prepared by Sylvia McDougall, Trudi Thompson and others and then the usual afterglow. |
