Strathroy Vocal Federation's Annual Learn to Sing Program  


The Strathroy Vocal Federation is looking forward to welcoming you to our annual Learn to Sing program.  This will be a free, instructive and enjoyable four night program in vocal techniques that will help singers of all experience levels, and this program is being offered to both men and women alike.  This year we are welcoming as a guest instructor, Mr. Ian Crosbie, who is a renowned barbershopper of the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and the director of the Sarnia Chapter.  Accompanying Ian Crosbie will be the three other members of his barbershop quartet known as Resolution, who will assist him in his teachings throughout the four nights.  Our first night of September 9th has already passed, and the fifteen men and women that showed up for the Learn to Sing program were thoroughly pleased and entertained by Ian and his quartet, and our fifteen guests, as well as the members of the Vocal Federation, learned a lot about the techniques behind good singing.  If anyone else would still like to attend, please don't hesitate because you missed the first session, or even the second and third sessions.  Even attending just one session will be worth it for you.

Classes are being held in the basement of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 152 Albert St., Strathroy. You can enter at the rear-most door. Classes will run during regularly scheduled Chapter meetings on Wednesday nights.  They started on September 9th and finishing on September 30th of 2015, each session starting at 7:30 pm and finishing at 9:00 pm, All guests will then be welcome to stay after 9:00 pm as the chorus continues on with their regular, Wednesday night session until 10:00 pm.
